CAS and Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) 
jointly held a forum on innovation on March 24 in Beijing. CAS President LU Yongxiang and 
AIST President Hiroyuki Yoshikawa delivered talks on "CAS that facing the future" and "
Innovation efforts at AIST" respectively at the meeting. Chaired by Prof. GUO Huadong, vice 
secretarygeneral of CAS, the meeting attracted more than 300 Chinese and foreign scholars 
and students.
